The Manzanares River Restoration Strategy aims to ecologically regenerate Madrid’s river corridor, enhancing biodiversity, water quality, and public access. Supported by the EU, the project integrates the river into the urban landscape through hydromorphological improvements, native vegetation, and habitat creation. It also promotes social and educational engagement, encouraging citizens to appreciate and protect this vital green space.
